Keipen (938), Berg k., Senja.

Keipen´s SE face and South ridge.

A short route description: start from the county road 862 by the lake Mefjordbotnvatnet (89 m) and follow the small river Keipelva for approx. 1 km in easy terrain. Turn left and climb up a small ridge where you will get the first view of the SE face.  The normal route leading up to the South ridge is straightforward and approx. 25-30°. The South ridge (max 31-35°) can be icy so bring crampons.

Distance to the summit: approx. 3 km. Ascent: 840 m.
