Henriktinden (Áhkucohkka) (1127), Balsfjord, Norway

Henriktinden as seen from Slettmo, Balsfjorden

A brief route description of the SW ridge route: Follow the county road from Laksvatn to Mo Planteskole near Slettmo.
You will find a small tunnell under the E8 road. I skied straight up towards Ørntuva (624). Ørntuva is a
common avalanche area, i.e.
you should carefully consider the snow conditions before climbing this section. Late spring is the best time to do this.
After Ørntuva, proceed uphill on easy terrain. Near the top, the terrain is somewhat steeper and the last section may require -
depending
on the snow conditions
- crampons and an ice iaxe.

Climbed 11. April 2008
